This simple tool enables you anonymize student application data in your PERS report from your own machine, ready to send us for aggregation and inserting into Datafiltr.
Once you have chosen your PERS CSV file and entered a random word, we use JavaScript running in your web browser to alter the student application ID (the PII) in the file to a uniquely encrypted "hash" using the word that only you know. This means it would be extremely hard to decypt and get to the original student application ID. The anonymized file is then downloaded to your machine, ready to be uploaded to your Datafiltr Team's account.
All of the processing occurs only in your web browser, NOT using Datafiltr servers. The code can be seen in the HTML source of this page for any checks your teams may want to complete.
